Approved on 1/16 for Alaska Personal hopefully for 75k.

I saw some people were passing around the link http://alaskaair65k.com/ for 65k AS, so on Monday I modified the URL and applied from http://alaskaair75k.com/ for 75k after $3,000 spend. Left the employee referral ID section blank.

I unfroze TransUnion right before applying, but the app went pending and an email said that I needed to unfreeze. Double checked that it was unfrozen, called, approved. BoA can’t see if the 75k is attached – that info is only available on Alaska’s end. Fingers crossed that the bonus will apply.

Before hanging up, I asked for expedited delivery, and they gave a free UPS 3-day delivery (instead of 7 business days).

No prior relationship with BoA. This was P1. I had P2 try to apply to Alaska Business for 65k last month, it was rejected even though P2 has had BoA consumer cards for 10+ years. (No business deposit relationship with BoA, yada yada)

Updates:

1/17: I checked the BoA app status webpage and it says the application was rejected. Hoping it’s just an IT glitch. Turns out BoA did really reverse the approval after the rep told me I was approved. BoA mailed me a verification request of identity (SS verification. I’m not a citizen) and income. It arrived via mail on 1/24. Submitted SS verification form and tax filings. They only accept mail submission, not electronic. Well with this delay I’m definitely not getting the points before the March deval and probably unable to use it for 2023 Q4 estimated tax payments either.

2/1: Called BoA. They still haven’t received my SS and income information. Rep says “we know you requested expedited shipping. Once it’s approved, it will be processed accordingly”

2/6: Called BoA. Rep started saying “we have to verify your identity and income.. ” then when I updated him on what I sent, then he says that it’s been approved with $4,500? ish credit limit. What kind of computer screen is this guy looking at that the approval is not shown outright? He says it will arrive in 7-10 days. “When was it approved?” I asked, then he says “you should get it in the mail soon”.

2/7: This whole time my online status page was showing “application denied”. Today it finally changed to “Your application is in review. Thanks for choosing Bank of America. We’re carefully reviewing your application and need to check a few more things. We appreciate your patience. You can check back at any time to see if there has been an update on the decision. We’ll also send you a letter in the mail after we’ve completed processing your application. If we have any questions, we’ll call you.”

2/8 Received standard email from BoA that the credit card was approved and to wait 7-10 days to receive the card
